Navigating the world of international university admissions can be confusing and intimidating. Our job is to work closely with students and their families to ensure that they make the best possible decisions based on their academic, personal, and cultural interests.
Our team is expertly familiar with application processes in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, and across Europe, and our foremost goal is to ensure that students make the best possible choices for their academic and professional success, as well as their personal happiness.
Initial Consultation
Our first step is to meet with our clients to paint a full picture of the student: their academic and professional interests, their educational foundation, and what educational environment best suits them.
Our second step is helping students identify universities that meet their criteria. These do not have to be limited to a single country. Casting a wide net allows the student and their family to have a multitude of options available once it is time to commit to a particular institution.
Essays and Personal Statements
Next, we help the student construct an effective academic CV, an essential tool for writing personal statements, admissions essays, and academic reference letters.
A personal statement tells the student’s personal story and allows both their advisor and their academic referees or school counselors to write an effective letter of reference.
Many students applying to universities in the United States will write several essays, and using the CV as a foundation helps the student set themselves apart by telling an interesting or creative personal story.
Academic references can be tricky, as many teachers or high school counselors are not native English speakers. We work to make references are as effective as possible, and to ensure that all of the students’ references will be polished when submitted.
Online Application Systems
We submit the student’s paperwork to the universities that they have selected via the Common App, UCAS, Coalition App, and other online systems. We ensure that transcripts, references, and essays are submitted well in advance of due dates, including Early Decision and Early Action applications.
Once universities have made and sent out their decisions, we assist our students to select the university that is the best fit for that student’s academic and personal interests, scholarships or other financial aid packages that are offered, and which university will be the most comfortable for them.
Financial Aid and Scholarships
Finally, we help our students apply for scholarships and other forms of financial aid that are available to them. Many universities offer scholarships specifically to foreign students, and students who maintain American citizenship qualify for the FAFSA Federal aid program.
We handle the required application paperwork for students who will need a visa to travel to their selected university. We also assist students to select the best housing situation for them.
Throughout the entire process, our focus is on doing what is best for our students and their families. The years spent studying at university are some of the most important and transformative years of their lives, and we will be there throughout the process to ensure that our students will be successful and enjoy this exciting time in their lives.
